Well turns out that wasn't the end of our sewer problems. We
think that originally it was just a clogged line from Curtis using too much tp
but then when Brian snaked it the wet tp got lodged in the pipe going out to
the septic and froze there with our -30 plus nights.
When Brian did laundry the water came back up into the
bathroom, which Curtis found when he went in and went pee. We didn't think that
big of a deal of it because the toilet wasn't on tight yet and we had no other
water coming up anywhere. Oh boy where we wrong. A few days later we found 3-4
pieces of the ceiling in the basement bedroom, aka momma’s book room, had fallen
down. The water from the bathroom had gone down in the vent into the ceiling.
So the next thing we were thinking was that our septic
needed to be pumped. Again not the case but we didn't know this till they were
already out here to pump it. $425 later they told us that they think the line
was frozen. It took Brian and his dad two different tries but they finally got
it unclogged. Now this summer Brian will have to go under the porch and try to
insulate around the pipe to prevent this from happening again.
Guess at least we now know where our septic is and where not
to put the pool this summer J
Sure glad that is over with, even though I’m still waiting for the toilets or
showers to back up again.
